Mount Apo
With an altitude of 3,146 metres (10,321.5 ft), Mt. Apo is the highest mountain in the country and is located between Davao City, Davao del Sur province and Cotabato province.
The peak overlooks Davao City 45 kilometres (25 mi) to the northeast, Digos City 25 kilometres (16 mi) to the southeast, and Kidapawan City 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the west.
Mt. Apo possesses a formidable array of landscapes, from craggy rockscapes to virgin forests; from mossy swamps to volcanic structures. The mountain possesses the widest spectrum of environments, and provides an experience for mountaineers that lives up to their expectations from the country’s highest.
MANP has great economic significance in the two regions, providing various ecosystem services (e.g., water for domestic use and irrigation, source for energy generation) to 3 cities and 4 municipalities with over 390,000 households. It is inhabited by several indigenous tribes, mainly by Manobos, Bagobos, and Klata. They consider Mt. There are many beautiful mountains including volcanoes in the Philippines, this tallest mountain in the archipelago looks horrible from afar.

It was great to see Mount apo up close and personal - the highest peak in the Philippines
was a long drive though and hard to get there you need to go with someone who has experience driving around the mountain it was cloudy though later part of the day due to rain but we were able to have a glimpse of this beauty worth a trip and we had a great volcano experience at the end of the day.
